Introduction

World-class technologies. For impeccable care.

Nuclear medical procedures are some of the most commonly performed procedures worldwide.Nuclear Medicine has both diagnostic and as well as therapeutic applications. The division of Nuclear Medicine at MMHRC was commissioned on 12th April 1996 after getting approval from Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), Mumbai. This division is the first of its kind in southern Tamilnadu and is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging facilities.

Positron emission tomography (PET-CT) is indispensable in the evaluation of oncology patients. It is also utilized in evaluation of myocardial viability and in evaluation of neurological conditions.
