Introduction

Every individual deserves to see.

Primary, secondary or tertiary care – the Department of Ophthalmology at MMHRC does excellent community-oriented programs to help the needy with eye problems. It has programs that cover Madurai and large parts of south Tamil Nadu. It also conducts regular eye camps in more than seven districts, completely free of cost. MMHRC is probably the only comprehensive therapeutic facility in the region to provide effective screening and treatment to a wide range of eye problems.

Opticals:

The Department of Ophthalmology at MMHRC ensures that the underprivileged have access to world-class treatment and medicines. It also has a section for opticals on campus for the benefit of economically-backward patients. This has been inspired by global concern for diabetic eye care as the core area for development.
