Mother and child are to be cared for the most.
The Obstetrics & Gynecology department at MMHRC is a premiere patient care and teaching center aimed at providing the highest quality care for women experiencing complicated pregnancies. The department offers a multi-disciplinary setting in association with various branches like medicine, surgery, pediatrics, radiology and anesthesia.

MMHRC’s Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology has a dedicated obstetric critical care High Dependency Unit (HDU) to care for patients with high risk pregnancy. Patients suffering from various medical disorders such as epilepsy, severe preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, chronic hypertension, heart diseases, renal disorders including post renal transplantation, SLE and diabetes are cared for routinely at this center.

The department caters to the clinical needs of women from adolescence to menopause and beyond. Each individual patient is counseled individually regarding her problems and guided about the various treatment options available. Finally the patient is helped in the choice of an appropriate tailor-made treatment, taking into account her special needs and medical conditions. Minimal access surgeries (laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures) are performed on the majority of patients needing surgery, for better patient comfort at an affordable cost.
